I can still remember going to the lumber yard (there were no home centers then) with my father, and the smell of white pine being milled into door jambs just hit me. I remember thinking, “I want to work with wood.” Well, it’s been many, many years since then, and for the last 25 years I have been doing just that. To me there is no material like wood, it can be fashioned into just about anything, and its beauty is timeless and enduring.
Although my father was not a woodworker, he taught me that your work is your legacy, to pursue your craft to the best of your ability, always striving for perfection. I take those principles and apply them to each of my custom cabinets, classic cedar canvas canoes, and heirloom quality furniture pieces. Whether it is in the Arts and Crafts style or a custom design, each piece is made for you, one at a time.
